Dvd recorder

  Phate 13:38 03 Aug 2005

Hi - I am looking to buy a dvd recorder to convert my old vhs cassettes into dvd format.

I was wondering if there were any recommendations that the knowledgeable members of the forum could give me?

I am looking to spend no more than about £150.

Thanks in advance,

If you want features then my choice would be to go with the 2nd or 3rd in the list at click here

The easiest and best way (providing you don't want to do any editing) is to buy a standalone DVD recorder. I have a Liteon 5006 and recording from VHS/Beta is in real time. ie. a 3 hour tape takes 3 hours. I also have an LG 4163B computer based DVD burner and the Dazzle Fusion USB capture unit but a 3 hour tape takes at least 7 hours from start to finish.
