Dell selling at different price

  lukem68 17:08 12 Nov 2009

I received a dell advertising leaflet through my door the other day. On it is a Dell studio XPS 16 advertised at £799 with strangely high specs for the low price. I entered the E-Value code on Dell's website, and a laptop came up at the price of £1499. Obviously a huge difference. Can Dell just raise their prices? Many thanks in advance.

Their Studio XPS 16 laptops appear to start at £799 with e-Value code N00X1601 click here.

What e-Value code were you looking at?

If it's a different e-Value code, then it's got to be a misprint/misprice. G

Dell do vary their prices, usually in the form of voucher and advertising codes. I have purchased many Dell items this way, and made some very good savings.

But that all turned rather sour a few months ago, when I wanted to purchase a Dell laptop, but on entering the code on-line it wasn't recognized. I then contacted Dell telesales, and they couldn't recognize the code either. Long story, which resulted in a no sale deal for Dell.
