I took delivery of an electric hob at 1.30 today. My own qualified electrician came out to fit it. When wired up and installed and switched on it displayed an error code F47. Book says I had to phone customer services did so. Result I have a hob which will not and the engineer cannot come out until next wednesday, nearly a whole week.
I bought this equipment online. What are my options please.
I have spoken to another department of Currys Customer services and the gentleman tried to be very helpful. However, Whirlpool insist on an engineer inspecting the installation. Because of the Bank Holiday weekend, Trading Standards advise me that next Wendesday would be considered reasonable and Whirlpool are within their rights. Distance Selling Regulations do not come into the picture because the hob has been installed and could not therefore be returned in its supplied condition.
So now I have no hob level cooking facilities. Easter ruined.
