Compaq Presario with only one dual format drive

  RedBandit 18:49 11 Jan 2004

I bought a Compaq from PC-World (yes, I know).
The machine runs fine, apart from the fact that it only has one dvd-rewriter drive.
I bought a game (knights of the old republic) but found that the copyright protection on the disk will not allow me to run it - I managed to install it from cd. I changed this for a different game, but got no joy there. It works with 'older' games (i.e. those without Copyright protection) but if I'd wanted to play old games for the rest of my life, I would have stuck with my old pc.
Do I have any rights in this under the sale of goods act ? The pc was purchased on 1st Jan
