Is this good value for money and can I get it more cheaper any where else, or is there an alternative I could get? I would prefer a 17 inch screen. £550 is my max budget. I will be using it for everything apart from games. The 17 inch screen is desirable as it will be used mainly as a home computer.

But what is the difference between the model above and this one

They are both the same price (and spec?)

the differences are minor. Both are nice machines, and provided you're happy I wouldn't waste too much time hunting down a minor saving. Ebuyer is a reputable company, and Toshiba makes superb laptops.

I bought direct from Toshiba at one of their outlet stores & saved £100!

Thanks. I think the laptop is ideal. Do Toshiba accept telephone orders at their outlet stores or do you have to go in person?

but there's one way to find out.

The spec difference is in the size of the hard drive suffix D has 100Gb and suffix P has 80Gb. Surprisingly Laptops Direct sell the one with the smaller hard drive at a higher price than the one with a bigger hard drive!

I ordered over the phone after haggerling on a price, saved over £100.
