cctv systems advice

A friend has a car sales outlet and needs cctv because of vandalism to cars on the forecourt.
Although I can Google for suppliers it is not something I know much about. I was wondering if anyone could provide any recommendations for reliable sources of equipment.
He needs 4-5 static external + 1 internal cameras with good day and night definition, monitor and HDD recording.
Any recommendations welcomed.

I would suggest that your friend contacts the local police crime prevention officer or community coordinator for further advice.

Obtaining the right equipment can be an hit and miss affair, depending on requirements and the company supplying the service. Make sure that the supplier/installer are registered with a recognised trade association, and that a yearly service and call-out contract is available. Most insurance companies will insist on this as a basic requirement.
