can't burn dvds recorded on philips dvd

i can get as far as dragging out the vts files fromthe dvd i recorded on the phillips dvd. whilst
all of the dvds play back on my computer
tey wont burn i've used the latest nero and also tied alcohol 120%
i've a feeling its to do with the decodinf of the files
i'm using windows me
i can burn dvds not recorded on the philips
any help out there please

Some punctuation might help, in the understanding of the thread.

But apart from that, most cd/dvd recorders can be piccy as to which brand of disk they like.

Try visiting the web site for the DVD burner you have.

See if they suggest a certian brand of blank disk.

My CD writer can't use packard bell at all, and they are a well known make.

It just makes beer mats from the blank disks. And i bought a spindle of 50. What a waste of time.

Try running them through DVD shrink, you will not need to shrink them but it should get round the protection if that is the problem. Shrink uses Nero 6 as it's default burner as well.
