Hi,There a few DVD's I would like to buy from the USA via Amazon UK.

On all the ads it states ,I might be liable for import duties and taxes. Can anyone explain how this works, and how do I know if this applies. The DVD's range in price form £7-£10 plus postage.
Cheers

Depending on the shipping costs it might possibly be a bit cheaper to split your order into groups of less than the allowance. Which is £18 by the way.

Purchased many Dvd/Cd items through Amazon. Most from the UK, Ireland and Channel Isles others from the USA. Never had a problem with duty payments, but watch delivery charges as these are extra via USA/Foreign sellers.

Perhaps worth a mention, that some USA sellers, deliver via Germany etc, so avoiding direct UK duty requirements.
