Buying from insecure websites:

This morning I made the elementary mistake of buying something at a website without a security
"padlock":I was in a hurry and failed to notice.
It's too late now, but is there as much to worry
about as the security experts would have us believe ?

but don't worry too much - you might be lucky.

I would never buy from insecure websites.

Basically a hacker with a sniffer on the connection anywhere between where it is trasmitted will see this:

SSL secured:

010101010101011111010100001110101010010010111111101010110101011110110101010101010101010101010101010101010100101010110101101001010101001010100101010110100001011010101010101010101010101011111010101001101010100101010110101010

Non SSL secured:

458-548-845-754-005-581 for example...

So, its always better to have the security!

Thanks for your reply - which worries me more than before. Have you managed somehow to alter
the way my text was first displayed ?

I know...

sory for making you more worried...

Just keep tabs on the statements for your bills.

As for the ' Have you managed somehow to alter the way my text was first displayed ?'

Because the forum doesnt cut long sections of text up, it makes the forum width larger. Therfore it affects all posts on this page.

Dont worry.

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
