BT Voyager 100 ADSL modem query

I have had broadband around 18 months which isn't that long ago and yet according to BT at click here they don't make them anymore!

I have also noticed that their NEWER model at click here is also not available!
Even though I had my modem FREE as part of my original 12 month contract on AOL's 512 kb service, as I am now only 3 months into another 1 mb service contract what I would like to know is generally speaking are modems pretty reliable?
If mine should stop working I would probably have a job being able to find somewhere that still stocks them!

p.s. I wonder why BT discontinues these two modems after so short a period of time?

Does seem a bit strange does'nt it.

They sent me the BT Voyager 205 ADSL router with my set up pack.

I expect ISP's are trying to get people to upgrade to ADSL Routers as they probably assume that most people want to do Home Networking.
I don't however want to go down that route as I only have ONE PC!
