BT and 8Mb Broadband

The company is apparently going to 'roll out' this delight to a selected 50,000 subscribers soon with an eventual target take up of 150,000. If it is popular why not offer it to all customers? Is there some technical reason? Judging by the rapid take up of 2Mb the faster speed will be much in demand.

Read this article click here all the way through and you will see that the limited roll out is just the next phase of the trials BT are running. The "up-to 8Mbps" service is then to be rolled out across the whole of the UK. As I live less than 600M from the exchange I can't wait.

In darkest south Essex I can only receive 1mb. 15 miles from London! Absolutely no mobile phone signal either. Isn`t it wonderful that BT are now about to roll out 8mb. I can only dream.

Two more reasons for NOT living in Essex!

And for staying in Somerset!

Thanks Mr M. I'm glad to see St Ives on the list, I shall be moving to Cornwall next year.
