I amlooking at a m/b with this as part of the specs. Does this mean it has WIFI onboard and that I don't need a separate wrieless card?

Seeing as no one has replied then I've always taken that a LAN card is for local area network so connects through an ethernet cable from router to PC.
You'll need a WLAN card for wireless local area network for WIFI and it sounds as this card is not WIFI.
