Tales of woe please ,

I need speed but BT wont play the game, trigger is as good as zilch. Only option is Telewest Broadband or continue with Dialup.

System is P111 700 256Mb Ram, Win 98se, need speed due to increasing time on line.

Go with Telewest,

you won't regret it.

You sound as if you are hesitant to join Blueyonder, why?

2mb is wonderful. I would prefer it if it were cheaper than £50 per month, but I couldn't get that sort of speed elsewhere for the money.

DoubleDutch,

I know that this is not part of your posting, but another 256Mb ram would give your broadband a boost too.

18 months now. Never had a single problem.

I got blueyonder and telewest's talk unlimited package My phone bills have gone down ( no dial up charges) and I ve got broadband internet 24/7
and if anything does go wrong telewest will sort it. My modem failed and they came out and changed it the next day.

Sounds good to me, just wondered if 98se was a bit lowly for broadband ? Thanks again

Windows 98SE is fine for broadband. All my work PCs are running 98SE and we have ADSL - no problem.
