At the moment I have the "ADSL ASR 8400 Origo" router cost about £30.00 from Ebuyer, but I notice every now & then it completely loses the signal and I have to go into repair mode which brings the signal back, but which is awkward when half way through a download, any recomendations for a good wired router.Cheers

my company supplied some of us with Netgear RP614 routers so we could hook our laptops up to the company network via our home broadband. Simple to set up, and running for 4 months now and never missed a beat.

I rarely use it for work, but it has the added advantages that it provides a harware firewall for the home pc, and I can network up to 4 pc's sharing the one broadband connection.

Thanks for your replies, never thought of a firmware update, and keef66, will investigate Netgear if update doesn't do the business.
Will tick.
