Best free registry cleaner for Vista

What's the best free registry cleaner for Vista?

I used to use CCleaner with XP which I thought was excellent. However, it does not work properly with Vista - however many times you fix "issues" with the registry, you still get the same number next time you run the scan.

I already have a great temp file remover, so its just the registry part I need.

Try PC Tools Registry Mechanic, it works with Vista and does the job efficiently.

Sorry, it's not free; but not expensive either!

To start CCleaner you need to right click on the CCleaner icon and select "run as administrator".

It will then load normally and work perfectly on Vista.

(Make sure you have the latest update of CCleaner installed)

Thanks for info on how to get CCleaner to work with Vista - I now have this, and prefer it over anything else.
