Can anybody recommend any companies that are particularly good at letting you put together your own pc? (ie, choosing components, etc)

click here or .com I can't remember which. Not tried them myself but they've got a great website to help you work out what you want even if you don't buy from them in the end. I was about to buy but then got a computer from Lidl which was even better value and I'm so glad I did cos the aftercare is brilliant.

Where are you from? My local store is absolutely superb for building machines, I have had this 7 months with no problems whatsoever. Except a dvdrom drive went but they replaced it instantly the same day. I picked every component in the computer and even chose the brands!

Why don't you try a local store, one that's been up and running for a while and has a good reputation.

Why not build your own? I'm on my 4th in five years - its habit forming!. You learn a whole lot and get the enjoyment of building and using something you have created from conception to completion. I have two cases, one in use and one being built all the time. The most difficult choice is always(going to be)MoBo and chip, but once yoiu've sorted that, the rest, as they say, is easy peasy.

If you are unfortunate enough to hit trouble, you can always contact the help room for advice.

I got mine made at local shop. If anything goes wrong you can easily take it back and slap it on the counter.

Kustompcs click here
I am communicating with them at the moment to built me my next pc, they've got very good reviews there : click here
I had a look at pcspecialist before, they do not accept payments by credit cards, I will not buy anything on the internet other than with a credit card.
