Does anyone know if this cpu is still available on socket 939? I've got an amd3800 and was hoping to upgrade to the fx60 which I've heard is dual core. Most stores only have the amd4000 as the top cpu for S939 which is only marginally better than my current 3800.

VNAM75,

the only one I could find was here, click here , but going by the price you could buy a far better motherboard bundle, with a core2duo, or quad cpu for cheaper.

This will give you a far better system. click here

Couple of FX60s on eBay at the moment click here.

Joe R, is right about the better bundle you could get, but at a bit of a premium I'd imagine as you're buying the motherboard & RAM too. If going for a new CPU+motherboard+RAM, I'd recommend getting individual components off eBuyer/Scan/similar & putting it together yourself - it works out cheaper than Novatech's bundles of the same spec. Thanks. £560 for the fx60 is a bit ridiculous. I will consider getting individual components or a bundle.
