nothing at all, but it sounds good value

it does look a bargain for the money, especially a 3yr warranty and all those extras.

Last year I paid £120 for a 3 megapixel olympus camera and got no extras!

is there a link?

Aldi sell some models named Traveler.(Traveller).

Can you tell me the model number?
I don't think the lenses are that brilliant.

From this it seems Traveler is made by Jenoptic.

Yes, but is there a link to the one that Aldi is selling????

of the Carl Zeiss Company of Jena.

Zeiss made and still make some of the finest lenses ever produced in many optical fields.

Hasselblad and Sony use their lenses.
I would be very surprised if any Jenoptic camera that Aldi sells, would be fitted with Zeiss quality lenses.

That is very good value. It would be nice to see a proper review of the camera somewhere.

joe95, does it have a model name/number? I've been looking but couldn't find anything at Aldi or anywhere else. G

Jenoptik's early digital cameras were actually rebranded Minton Optical Company of Taiwan models and may well still be - many top brands rebadge or rebadged Taiwanese digital cameras under their own names, including Ashai Pentax.

The Traveller cameras, IIRC, were made by another Taiwanese company with a name beginning with K (it's so long ago I can't remember the exact name).

I have been using a Taiwanese Megxon C450 badged a Practica Luxmedia 4008 & have had some excellent results from it including some pictures printed A1 size. Very few of these cameras get reviewed in the popular press or online but most seem to give good results especially at the price. I have noticed that the popular makes are selling some of their cameras at much cheaper prices, closer to the Taiwanese generics - probably made in the same factories!
