Advice on laptop purchase

  Roadgiant 22:39 21 Mar 2011

I am thinking of buying a laptop and wondered what people thought of this :-

Sony VAIO EE3Z0E 15.5 inch notebook AMD Athlon Triple Core P840 1.9GHz, 6Gb, 500Gb, Blu-ray/DVDSM, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Win 7 Home Premium price is £518 (I have about £170 of Amazon vouchers which I won and thought it would be an idea to use them up)

I intend to use it mainly for video editing when traveling around and some general use, surfing and etc(I currently use my home PC which has a Intel quad core Q9400 with 4gb)
I have been looking around for laptops with firewire, but they seem to have disappeared off virtually all but high end spec or end of line, so I guess I will have to look at an upgrade of camcorder to SD cards or HD.
Thanks in advance RG

You could use one these firewire cards click here with whichever laptop you end up buying.

Already thought about that looking around, most recent laptops don't appear to have Express card slots.
