Advice on buying new PC speakers

I'm after some new speakers for my PC, just two satellites and a sub. I'll use them mainly for music and a bit of gaming.

Looking to spend as little as possible on them for reasonable sound.

Any advice is appreciated!

You cannot beat hearing them first , have a look in your local PC World , they normally have speakers set up to try out , might be worthwhile asking any other local shops for a demo .

A set of Creative Inspire 2.1 would`nt be a bad choice , expect to pay £25 to £35 .

Got a set of Altec Lansing 221 for my Dad. About £35, absolutely superb (he is using onboard sound) click here

Advice to listen first is very sound (no pun intended) along with that to choose Altec Lansing or Creative - Altec Lansing is one of the world's leading hi-fi speaker manufacturers and its computer system speakers are also excellent.
