£600 Laptop choice

Looking to buy a laptop for under £600 would prefer a turion? is this the only way forward for 64 bit, some of the intel laptops have a higher clock speed and more hdd space and more ram for the money, but are they worth owning in the long run?
Acer seem to have things covered with the Acer Aspire 5002WLMi AMD Turion ML30 1.6GHz/1MB 512MB 60GB DVD±RW 15.4...
but it has no svideo.
I need the laptop to run MCSE training videos on the tv, is there another way over svideo?
