I'm still lost in spite of the link. What's the snag/problem?

I was lost but now I'm found. 60 follows 59, I can see it now. I was expecting it to be another 5 something.

09 goes to 10 & 59 goes to 60..I wont be around when they get to the end of this sequence !!!

  wids001 14:02 14 Sep 2010

2049! March 49, September 99 - Like iscanut, I won't be around to see it.

In fact these days I greet each plate change as a bonus ... another 6 months!

Graham

60 followed 10! 09 went to 59 (2009), 10 went to 60 (2010) 11 will go to 61 (2011) ........ 20 will go 70 (2020) etc.

March 2030 will see 30 plate followed by 80 plate in September.

The sequence runs out in 2049 .... not that I am bothered!

  iscanut 16:50 14 Sep 2010

Thanks, I got it wrong ! My 09 will see me out !

Perhaps we should look at another system. Personalised plates. No, no, not cherished numbers. When you buy a car, you are allocated a licence plate or number. That number then stays with you permanently. No sense in changing cars just to get the latest number plate. I use cherished numbers in the same way. I had 3 consecutive cars of exactly the same make, model and colour - nobody noticed except a 10 year old car fanatic!
