Read a couple of threads recently about 19in TFT Monitor - Currys are selling a ACER
AL1912S for £199.99 (192.00 off web) - Anybody know whether this is OK?

This looks really good too, Viewsonic 19" VX912 TFT LCD £295.00 at click here - But is this £00.00 better?

The difference in price is down to the response time of 12ms for the Viewsonic and a poor 16ms for the Acer.

It's also digital and the Acer is only an analogue. Better quality too.

Spend a bit more on the Viewsonic. I did and don't regret it one bit.

I recently asked the same question click here

My advice would be that unless you are playing or intend to play the latest 3D games then a fast response time is unnecessary.

I finally brought my choices down to two and then went and viewed them before making a final choice.

I have found that some monitors have excellent graphic reproduction and others excel in their text reproduction.

For me text was the most important and only by viewing could I see which was best.

A 16ms response time is not poor, you should find the Acer absolutely fine unless you are into playing games alot with very fast moving graphics. Even then I wouldn't expect it to bother you.
