I'm looking at spending about £1,500 on a new computer for HD Video and the odd game here and there.I am currently looking at Cougar for..Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 GHz 4Mb Cache, 4Gb Corsair Memory DDR2 800 - 4 x 1GB, 750GB SATA Hard Drive, 500GB Secondary SATA HDD, Windtunnel Extreme Cooling, Corsair 620Watt PSU, 768Mb Nvidia 8800GTX graphics card DX10, Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R 1333fsb-DDR800x4 integrated motherboard, Samsung DVD +/- Re-writer Lightscribe, Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme sound card Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premiem I am also going to get the to source a Blu-Ray drive for me.The graphics card seams to be causing the most confusion! I would like HDMI on it but is DVI - HDMI just as good?I also have no clue what so ever about mother boards so some advice there would be appreciated!Does anyone have any recommendations of other hardware I should get or other companies to try? Please don’t suggest PC Specialist! I would rather burn my money they are useless!
Have a look hereclick here
Yeah I did look at Alien. They are good but quite expensive and ridiculously huge!! There is no need for it to be that big!Still a very nice machine though!
Unless you are running 64bit Vista you can save some money by only buying a maximum of 3GB RAM. As I am sure you are aware no 32bit o/s can utilise more then 4GB RAM which also includes all of your system RAM(graphics etc)
Email or better still ring Cougar and ask their advice. They are very knowledgable and will talk through your specifications with you.
