i'm interested in buying a mac for doing graphic work, animation and hopefully digital video editting. i intend to use the usual programmes; photoshop, flash, quark, illustrator and i will need to do a bit of word processing. I was tthinking about buying the educational version of the G4 533, but it has been suggested to me that i should go for an i-Mac, but which one? I would also like to burn cd's and watch dvd's.
which one has the best capabilities, resolution, can be upgraded etc. ?

I only wear mine when it's raining.

I suggest you try a Mac magazine.

I own and run a graphics studio and there are eight artists here. There is only one mac computer on the premises. Everyone else uses a PC.

To say that graphics work needs a mac computer is rapidly becoming a myth.

If you are used to using a PC, why bother changing?

Another point is that it is said that macs are somewhat slow to do video work on. I don't know if this is true or not but is is a fact that most of the speed increase development in computer systems is directed at the PC.
