Vista machine using XP printer

I have a home network with Solway homeplugs and I have just bought a Vista Home Premium machine to replace an old laptop. I want it to use the Canon Ip3000 printer hooked up to my Xp machine. How do I do this?

Turn all your Hardwae on that you want to Network, That means both computers and any printers etc. Go into XP computer Control Panel\Network Wizzard put a blank Floppy in the drive fill in the Wizzard as it askes questions, Make a floppy when it asks, now after it as compleated on the XP comp, put the floppy in the other computer and double click the file on the floppy drive, it will then setup that computer to share. Next all you have to do is go into Windows Explorer on comp any of the Comps, right click what you want to share, I would say not C:\ drive but you can do folders and files on it and any other drives. Change the settings to how you want to allow sharing

Unfortunately neither machine has a floppy drive. Is there another way?
