Truetype Fonts don't work on Macintosh

My friend is trying to get a book printed with my fonts, but the printers use Macs, and are having trouble with my fonts.

Could someone tell me why my fonts don't work on the Mac. The printers said they could use Truetype fonts.

To use your fonts with all applications under Mac OS X, they should put them in the <Mac Volume>/Library/Fonts folder.

This may not work - depending on what application they're using.
