Setting up Win 8.1 computer

when setting up time to UK (London) time, the displayed time came up five hours fast.

real time UK five pm- computer ten pm etc.

It is also called UTC time. How does one get good old GMT?

Pick any time zone that gives the time that you require, it does not matter what it is called.

Canada for example.

Have you got the right country settings?

  Woolwell 19:49 20 Feb 2014

Is the clock set to sync with internet time? If your router time is out then this could cause your problem.

  Woolwell 19:51 20 Feb 2014

The bit about router is incorrect but you may not have set it to sync with internet time.
