Setting up Win 8.1 computer
when setting up time to UK (London) time,the displayed time came up five hours fast.
real time UK five pm- computer ten pm etc.
It is also called UTC time.
How does one get good old GMT?
UTC is the modern name for GMT.
Set the clock to the correct time.
Thank you both
UTC =GMT got it
as stated setting to London time gives a time many hours fast
attempting to wind back it no like reverts to the original time
Pick any time zone that gives the time that you require, it does not matter what it is called.
Canada for example.
Have you got the right country settings?
Is the clock set to sync with internet time? If your router time is out then this could cause your problem.
The bit about router is incorrect but you may not have set it to sync with internet time.
Does this help? enter link description here
