Running ME & XP on the same machine

  TheGnome 19:15 19 Feb 2007

Does anyone have experience of having XP and ME on the same PC? I have ME at the moment, but would like to have XP as well. ME is on Drive C of course, and I have another physical drive of 80GB which is partitioned into 10GB and 70GB. I want to install XP on the 10GB partition. I would like to keep ME because I have several items which I don't want to get rid of but which are not going to work under XP. I would appreciate any comments, please.

As long as your machine is capable of running XP then install to the 10G drive and XP will allow you to dual boot without problems.

If you XP on the Other Drive, Make sure it runs under Fat32 on you will not see the Partition in ME

Thanks, both.
Youv'e got me a bit worried, Fruit Bat/\0/\, I think my PC should run XP, though its PIII is only 1GHz. I have 512MB of RAM and my ATA hard drives are 7200 rpm. Is there anything else to take into account?

It will run it ok.

Thank you, all. I shall buy XP and see what happens. Wish me Luck!
