I don't know for sure, but when I used a Mac (back on MacOS 6.5 (?) ) it was simply a case of booting with the CD and following the instructions.

Did you get any disks with it, by the way?

i got cds with it but i was wondering if you just put the cds in and it wipes everything off then starts a whole new fresh look.

Please post here so that others can help.

Why not try it... you should at least have an OS CD (MacOS -X of some variety I expect) as well as application CDs.

Put the CD in the disk drive and restart the mac. Hold down the C button and you should have 3 options.

Pick "clean install" option and away you go.
