Problem connecting laser printer to G-3 Apple

  skawar8258 11:52 04 Sep 2004

I have a G-3 which has been updated and now uses MacOs 9. I have bought a second-hand Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4 Plus printer, and have connected it to the G-3, using a parallel cable connection and the port that my previous printer was using. The printer came without an installation disk, so I have not been able to install it as a piece of new hardware. The computer does not seem able to recognise the new printer (which is both Mac and PC compatible). What can I do to remedy the situation? Can you please respond directly to my e-mail address? You are welcome to publish this message and your answer, but I would very much appreciate an e-mail response.

Many thanks
