...is that terminal, or might it be ok when dried out?

Grandson's and he has some footy videos stored on it he'd prefer not to lose.

sounds terminal but no harm in trying to dry it tho, i would use a hair dryer take any covers of and use dryer at a warm setting good luck

Chances are that it has already started to oxidise,
what you could try is taking it apart as much as you can and try a hairdrier on it...

Yeah, I thought it was only me that did this, shop said it was contaminated with an unknown liquid. I said that will be the Daz then...

But my son's survived a soaking in a swimming pool...

I had an old Motorola mobile that survived not one but TWO trips through the washing machine. I found it best just to strip it down as completely as I could, removing battery, sim, etc and leave in the airing cupboard for 48 hours. It started up again both times, luckily, and survived another 6 months of clumsy, fat-fingered ownership. :)
