macromedia flash player
I am trying to install flash player but it will not instal. I am using windows ME. I have had this programme in the past but have lost it somehow! I have enabled cookies, plugins, activex controls, all to no avail. I still can't install it. Can anyone help please?

have you any antispyware such as spy bot? this by default bars macromedia flash you need to go into it's properties and disable the facility.

this is a common problem and is annoying, i solved this problem the other day on my dads machine, he had it installed, but it must of been corrupt as it wouldnt work, so when he went to install it ,it wouldn't install, i downloaded an uninstaller which didn't work either..

so i deleted a registry key where flash player is installed, and then was able to download flsh again

goto start/run type regedit

goto [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}]

and delete D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000

close down regedit and go and download the flash player it should install

Have similar problem - just cannot get flash player to load - should I delete all refs to flash player and then reload?

Hi Donlewis 42,

I've just downloaded the player using the Mozilla Firefox browser, a free download from click here and free on many cover discs. Spybot was already installed and not specially configured so it might not be significant. It's worth a try.
