A machine check exception occurs when Windows XP and your hardware platform cannot recover from some type of hardware error so that the system can continue to run successfully and reliably. More specific diagnosis of machine check exceptions is difficult and there is no general solution. Contact your hardware manufacturer or a computer hardware technician for help with troubleshooting this issue.

And this bit doesn't sound to promising.

It also goes on to say it frequently caused by Overclocking, etc.

After re-setting my settings it was fine.

Just recently installed Battlefield patch 1.6 and now the machine crashes with the same error and now championship manager 03/04 with latest patches that was fine before, also causes error's.....

Anyone got another idea?

It just happens during battlefield 1942...

Even tried re-installing the game....

Put this apparent problem that microsoft/hardware companes cant seem to figure out, i have....

After getting annoyed with it i decided to underclock my machine to XP2400 speed's and had the same problem.

Then thinking about it for a little bit and talking to a few people, someone mentioned about the voltage's. Mine where fine..

But then i lead to think about the VCORE voltage.

So with my board i can increase it to 3%-9%. So after increasing it 3% i can now play moh:aa fine, best of all everything works! YAY!

So anyone that has this problem try playing with the VCORE on the motherboard and increasing it!
