Java applets error IE7

I have been trying to do a BT Speedtest, but as soon as i get on to the site, it shows at the top of the web page "You do not have Java applets
enabled in your web browser"

I have checked IE7/tools/internet options/advanced and scrolled down to the Java Sun section but the "USE JRE 1.6.0_05 for applet>" option is already ticked.

I am running Vista Ultimate and IE7. Any help would be appreciated.

I've sorted the problem out now. What I did was un-install Java, I then tried to go on to the BT Speedtest site, this then immediately prompted IE7 to install Java, after this the problem was no longer there.
