Does anyone know if there are any free 'UK internet answer machines', for people who ring while I'm on the internet?
Thx, Tom

Thanks for your reply.
Infortunately, I have an NTL line, so this will not work.
Does anyone know about any other 'answering machines'?

I have been looking at the blurb from NTL on the sevices they offer, one of them is voicemail. I'm not sure if you could run this while you were using the line for the internet, it's a question you would have to put to NTL, it costs £1 per month.

I have a cable Internet installation with a separate modem, and run my fax through the telephone line on a 56k modem which was installed when I bought the computer. You can run a telephone answer service also with this set up but you would need a voice/fax modem to replace the 56k modem.
