I pad apple premium care package

Bought an iPad yesterday was offered apple premium care package for extra £69, I declined offer ,i know this is a personal choice but has anyone taken out this cover and if so why ,reason for asking I don't know whether it would be wise to take out extra cover or not

Yeah I did, and I took it on the advice of the Apple rep and for what it covered. We got it for my wife's MacBook pro as for the cost of the cover I thought it was worth it. We have not needed to use it yet but it's there if we need it.

Don't know about this particular package, but most consumer advice organizations say that this sort of cover is not worth it.

If you're really concerned, they advise taking out separate, specialist, insurance.

I insure against accidental damage (through my normal house contents policy) but not against breakdown on the principle that once it's outside the warranty period it's outdated anyway so get a new one.

If you put the premiums in an interest bearing account you'll already have a bit saved up if it does breakdown.

What's the point in repairing a outdated device?
