how do i wirelessly network my mac??-URGENT!!!

What equipment do i need in order to wirelessly network my apple mac laptop to my router?? (802.11g-54mbps) Do i need a special usb device or something??

Please reply, i urgently need to get my mac running on my broadband connection

You need either an airport card or airport extreme card for the laptop. The choice will depend upon what type of Apple notebook you have. Once the airport card is fitted, it shall be able to pick up the wireless connection from the router very easily

hmm, thankyou for the advice but this seems quite an expensive option to me. is there a cheaper way of doing it?-by using a usb device for example?

Is there anything else I can buy except for an Airport Extreme card to wirelessly network my mac ibook on a 54mbps network?
The airport card is quite expensive!!
