Connecting broadband to 2 machines

Hi all

I am a bit green (ok a lot green) with computers and need help.

I have a desktop with XP home on and is presently connected to Tiscali broadband through a wired modem.

I have now got a brand new Dell laptopn with Vista home on and I want to have access to the Tiscali broadband for both.

I have purchased a D-Link adsl2modem +router ref. DSL-270B.

Looked at the booklets butstill not sure how to go about connecting them up.

How do I set it up so both machines with diferent operating systems connect to the wirelss modem +router I have now got.

Things I am thinking about are do I load the software with the new modem/router on both machines, or is a lot more simple than that.

Sorry to be a bit long winded, I did say I was green, so if there is anyone out there who can put in simple terms how to do it I would be so grateful.

Thanks for reading, and would like to thanks in anticipation for any help.

Kind regards

Phil

Use the wireless network wizard on your XP desktop and follow the instructions, you will need a USB stick. No need to install the router software on the laptop, just use the wireless wizard.
