Connecting a Apple laptop to a wireless network

Hi,

I'm trying to connect an Apple laptop to a wireless network and having difficulty.

The network has WEP but no MACFiltering, so I assumed it was just a matter of clicking on the network name and then entering my 26 digit pass key.

The router is a Linksys WRT54G

Unfortunately this does not work.

Would anyone on here know why?

Thanks in advance.

Try reducing the length of the pass key or changing to WPA/WPA2.

Okay, but this is the key generated for a 128 bit security key. Why would a Powerbook not accept this size of a key?

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate the response, but I'm confused as to why it would not accept it. There are 2 laptops and a desktop currently on this network and none have had logon problems...

Thanks.
