2 Pioneer writers in same machine

I have a Pioneer 107 and a Sony CD-Rom in my Medion PC. I have bought a Pioneer 109 really cheaply (couldn't resist). Can I replace the Sony with the 109 and will the machine detect it straight away? I think it would make on-the-fly burning more reliable. Do I have to make any adjustments to the jumpers at the back of the 109?

Set the jumpers on the new drive to the same as on the drive you are replacing, yes it should install itself with generic drivers.

Thanks for your help. I'll give it a go
