Why Broncos fans are better than Seahawks: A social data fight
The Super Bowl is just a couple of days away and consumer management company, Gigya, has today released a comparison of Seahawks and Broncos fans thorough analysis of social media data.
Using its new Consumer Insights tool, Gigya that gained some in-depth insight into what the fans of these two heavyweight NFL teams like and dislike. The results make for interesting reading with comparisons on what gender the fans are, their geographic location and their preferences including music, films and brands.
Broncos fans seem to enjoy more family-oriented movies such as Finding Nemo and Shrek while Seahawks fans enjoy action adventure films such as Star Wars and The Dark Knight. Shared music tastes include the likes of Linkin Park, Michael Jackson and Eminem.

As you might expect, both teams have a predominantly male following but it's the Broncos which has more female fans.

Seahawks fans are primarily based in Washington and parts of Oregon. Broncos fans, meanwhile, are more scattered throughout the US – stretching from New York to Los Angeles.

It seems Seahawks fans are more hardcore when it comes to film choices and everyone loves a bit of Harry Potter and Toy Story.

Naturally, all fans like The Simpsons, Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory. Broncos fans favour NCIS: Los Angeles, while Seahawks fans like Dexter.

Seahawks fans are going to enjoy this year's Super Bowl half time show since the Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing. No Adele for the Broncos supporters unfortunately.

In terms of brans, Broncos supporters seems to like a nice big sandwich while shopping at Target and Seahawks fans like a good coffee while checking Facebook. Everyone likes Amazon despite being based in Seattle.
