The Puls smartwatch was unveiled at Dreamforce and took a team of engineers two and a half years to build. The wearable gadget runs on Android and includes features such as a 2in cuff, pedometer and a speaker in the strap.
Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and an accelerometer. Will has been seen wearing the device on live TV show, The Voice. The news comes after O2 confirmed it will sell the Pebble smartwatches.
Nina Bibby, marketing and consumer director at O2 said: “Music and technology are in O2’s DNA, which is why we’re so excited to be giving O2 customers the opportunity to exclusively get their hands on the Puls in the UK."
The i.amPuls will be voice controlled via Andeesa and comes pre-installed with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. It won't need tethering to a smartphone or tablet to work fully.
Although O2 has confirmed it will stock the smartwatch, it has only said that it will be available in the 'coming months', and there is no price either.
"We're committed to bringing our customers the latest and most innovative devices and with Puls they will be able to explore a whole new level of connectedness. By combining cutting edge technology with music and fashion, the Puls has the power to revolutionise wearable technology," added Bibby.
