A question we get asked a lot here at PC Advisor is "when is the release date for [insert product name here]" so what we then do is research the product, find out its release date - or rumoured release date - and then write a feature on it, with addition product specs and rumours we found along the way.
So, the purpose of this article is to keep all of the future technology release dates in one tidy place for you, the reader, to browse and perambulate at your leisure. It's important that you remember that a lot of companies don't give out solid release dates for new products, opting for a surprise element to the launches instead, so a lot of these release dates will be based on the results of what we have found during our research...we're pretty good at it though, so don't worry too much.
Future technology release dates

'Strike while the iron's hot' is what the general consensus is with technology launches of late, and Google is the latest adopters of this approach. See also: Microsoft Surface Tablet release date and specs.
Google has announced the Nexus 7 is already available for pre-order, and those who order the tablet soon can expect to have their tablets shipped from 19 July, 2012.

Fifa 13 release date - September 2012
It's very rare that products are given a concrete release date a few months in advance. But it seems that EA Sports has decided to do just that. Tesco have a very bold Fifa 13 page and are promising a 28 September release date for the football game. [see below]
While it looks as if 28 September, 2012 is a set in stone as the release date for Fifa 13. It has been rumoured that this year could see the game released a month earlier - and more in-line with the start of the football season. Internet shopping website Best Buy even featured an August release date on its website with a click to pre-order link on the same page. Surely that was just a simple mistake though...? iPad Mini release date - October 2012
The iPad Mini's release date has already eluded us once before, so this time we're determined to make sure it does not happen again (although it might). You see, the technology world was convinced that Apple was going to announce the iPad Mini, alongside the new third generation iPad back in march this year. Alas, there was no such announcement.
That put an end to the gossip surrounding the iPad Mini, for a month or two, but now it's back with a bang. The latest piece of intelligence we have is that an October iPad Mini release date is what Apple has in mind. Not far away, eh?
How do we know this? Good question. The answer is we don't know this for sure. However, to use a horribly common metaphor, 'where there's smoke there's fire' and right now there is a puff or two of smoke directly above the iPad Mini.
Earlier this week, Pacific Crest analyst, Andy Hargreaves said this. "Checks with component suppliers suggest that Apple is beginning to provide order indications for a smaller iPad that is likely to launch before the holiday period." Read the full iPad Mini release date article here.
iPhone 5 release date - Autumn 2012
Technology website T3 made the interesting observation that the iPhone 4S launch back in October last year, was the only time Apple has made users wait 15 months for a new device, rather than the usual 12 month cycle used for the previous four iPhones.
The October prediction is backed up by the Japanese Apple bloggers Macotakara who say they have 'sources' confirming the Cupertino brand would be honouring the same upgrade cycle from now on. Here's a translation from the report featured on the well respected Japanese blog: "According to Asian reliable source, next iPhone will be released in September or October, and this cycle seems to be kept for years". Windows Phone 8 release date - October/Autumn 2012
Windows Phone 8 is set to be released in Autumn this year alongside the Windows 8 OS launch and the Windows Surface tablet launch too. See Windows Phone 8 FAQ: What you need to know.
Three major launches at the same time, really hammers home Microsoft's vision of having a desktop PC, a tablet and a smartphone all sharing the same kernel and talking the same language. Read the full Windows Phone 8 release date and specs article here.
GTA 5 release date - October/December 2012
The Wedbush Securities report reads: "We believe that October is the preferred release month for GTA V’s developer, Rockstar Games, as the studio has scheduled every prior GTA release during that month (with GTA IV delayed to April 2008, due to bugs in the PS3 version)". Sounds sensible enough doesn't it?
GTA 5 release date rumour 2 - GTA5release.org have almost managed to spot GTA 5 listed as available to pre-order on Amazon with a December 2012 release date. While there is nothing concrete about this release date rumours there are a couple of things that can be deduced from this rumour.
Firstly is that Amazon, a major seller of video games, would be in the loop with Rockstar Games and would almost definitely have direct lines of contact with RockStar Games about release dates, therefor including the release date in the product listing it quite likely to have been a complete oversight on Amazon's behalf. See the full GTA 5 release date article here.
Nintendo Wii U release date
The Japanese firm hasn't set a launch date for the Wii U yet apart from the vague notion of 'Holidays 2012'. Amazon.co.uk was brave enough to put a product page up for the console with a date of 14 July. However, it wasn't long before the online retailer removed the date claiming it was an error and cancelled any pre-orders which were made.
More recently Amazon's German website posted a listing for the Wii U and a release date of 21 December. At the time of writing this is still what the website states. To add to the confusion Blockbuster has the console available for pre-order with October listed as the release date. Read the full Nintendo Wii U release date here.
Microsoft Surface Tablet RT/8 Pro release date - Autumn 2012 and Early 2013
The first of the two Microsoft tablets to launch will be the Windows Surface RT. No official release date has been announced by Microsoft yet, but the tech company did confirm that the Windows Surface RT will go on sale in autumn this year coinciding with the launch of Windows 8. Visit Microsoft announces Windows Surface tablets
After Microsoft has launched its 'revolutionary' Windows 8 OS and first ever tablet the Windows Surface RT - both in autumn this year - it will then launch its high-end tablet the Windows Surface 8 Pro "three months later". Xbox 720 release date: 2014-2015
When the Xbox 360 came out in 2005 it was announced by Microsoft that they expected it to have a lifespan of about 10-years. Senior analyst Billy Pidgeon's from the market researcher company M2 revealed that he is "not expecting a next generation of Xbox before Q4 2014"
PlayStation 4 release date: 2014-2015
According to executives at US gaming retailers GameStop they do "not expect new hardware consoles from Microsoft and Sony until 2014". This is backed up by Sony PlayStation's US Chief Jack Tretton who claims that the "PlayStation 3 is really just hitting its stride". Typical, you wait for one major new games console to be release and then two comes at once, puh.
