Serif has unveiled a new version of its free WebPlus website design software.

WebPlus Starter Edition allows users to drag and drop text and images to design their own website, as well as giving users the ability to host videos and music files on their site and even add forms and hit counters. Meanwhile, a How-to tab offer step-by-step instructions on how to use various features and functions in the software.

Users will also benefit from a Google Map feature that supports markers that take site visitors straight to Street View and the ability to import Microsoft Word 2010 documents.

"More and more small companies are looking to get online to impress their customers and boost business," says Gary Bates, Managing Director at Serif.

"WebPlus Starter Edition is an easy-to-use and flexible program that makes website design accessible to all. Users can design an attractive website, for free, in a matter of minutes. The program's wizards and ready-made content keep design time down and, after initial publishing, quick changes can be uploaded with just one simple click."

Serif WebPlus Starter Edition, which also comes with three months free hosting, joins the company's stable of free software including PagePlus Starter Edition and DrawPlus Starter Edition.
