BT Business has recently unveiled SearchSmart - a service that helps small businesses improve their online presence.

The service comprises a 30 minute in-depth telephone consultation with an accredited Google Awards search marketing professional. This includes a web site audit, advice on on-site optimisation and keywords.

"With search advertising growing by 26% every year, BT SearchSmart is designed to help small businesses create an effective online presence so they can market themselves better, become more visible to customers and win business," BT said, adding that a quarter of all retail sales this year were generated online.

BT SearchSmart costs from £74.99 per month.
