Online data engine, iAsset has struck its largest deal to date in the US with IT distributor, Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) to provide renewals management support.
The platform helps companies manage their channel relationships and end-to-end product lifecycle, in turn increasing sales and renewal opportunities. Arrow ECS is part of Arrow Electronics.
iAsset CEO and president, Scott Frew, said over time, the deal would be worth about $2 million. It took about six months to deploy the renewals system, and there will be ongoing development and deployment.
"It's the first very large scale customer that we have deployed successfully," Frew told ARN. "It's a huge organisation and we've got some more deals in the pipeline."
Each time Arrow ships a product, the iAsset system will track its progress from the reseller down to the end user.
Resellers will also be able to use the system and Frew said they can track what products have been shipped to them, their status, serial number and all the details related to the product.
Frew estimated about 30 -40 customers were currently using iAsset.
This year, Frew plans to expand the online data engine through opening up a European operation to support its customers there.
Frew launched iAsset in 2010.
