Good Technology has integrated its Good Dynamics secure mobility platform with the Salesforce mobile software development kit (SDK).
Customers of both vendors will now be able to implement mobile application management and app containerisation.
Good_Technology president and chief executive officer, Christy Wyatt, said customers today want to secure the data and not just the device.
"With cyber security and privacy being top of mind for every CIO, customers today are looking for a secure mobility platform that protects their business data without impacting the end-user experience," he said.
Best of both worlds
In addition to leveraging the data from Salesforce's customer relationship management (CRM) platform, apps built with the [[xref:http://www.arnnet.com.au/tag/Salesforce|Salesforce|All on Salesforce] mobile SDK can now be containerised, deployed and managed for mobile workforces, in the process.
"Both business leaders and enterprise developers are looking for apps to be integrated into new mobile first workflows," Wyatt said.
"Now, developers charged with building custom apps for Salesforce can leverage the same secure framework trusted by the world's leading banks, federal agencies and regulated industries."
For users of Good Technology's email and collaboration solution, Good for Enterprise (GFE), Salesforce data is accessible through the Good Mobile Access secure browser.
According to Wyatt, Good Technology has already deployed custom mobile apps built with the Salesforce mobile platform integrated with Good Dynamics across its own sales and field organizations.
