In major shuffle at the top, Ingram Micro Vice-President A/NZ and managing director, Jay Miley, is returning to the US to take up a senior management position. He will be replaced by Matt Sanderson, who is currently managing director of Ingram Micro UK and Ireland.

Sanderson was previously chief of volume business and consumer sales at Ingram Micro Australia from 2004 to 2009.

Sanderson's new title will be Vice-President Australia, dropping the New Zealand responsibility from the role.

Ingram Australia Australia staff were told of the moves this week.

Ingram Micro Australia spokesperson, Liz Wolahan, said both men will start their new roles in January but transitioning Sanderson into his new position will begin almost immediately.

California born and bred, Miley started at Ingram Micro in the US more than 15 years ago where his roles saw him involved in a wide range of business functions from sales planning to pricing, finance, marketing and general management before moving to New Zealand in 2007 to take up the role of Managing Director of Ingram Micro New Zealand.

In late 2008, he moved to Sydney to take up his current role.

Prior to moving down under, Jay spent three years as Vice-President of Vendor Business Management for Ingram Micro US, responsible for developing strategic vendor relationships and identifying key business development opportunities in the systems, high-end storage and components categories.
