Samsung has confirmed it will unveil its Galaxy Note 2 on 29 August.
The follow up to Samsung's hybrid smartphone and tablet, probably called the Galaxy Note 2, will tip up two days before the IFA technology show where the original Galaxy Note was announced. This date is also a couple of weeks before Apple is tipped to reveal the iPhone 5.
"We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29," a Samsung spokesman said, according to Reuters.
Rumour has is that the Galaxy Note 2 will use a larger screen than the original's, with 5.5in touted compared to 5.3in. One rumour suggests the Android device will come with an unbreakable plane (UBP) display, a precursor to flexible screens.
Apart from the UBP screen, it will also feature longer battery life, better build quality and a quad-core processor.
